PTO Difference Maker JPG.jpg

Join the PTO to help make a difference in our students, teachers, and staff's school year by volunteering for activities, supplies, and school necessities.

Joining a parent-teacher organization gives you the chance to meet with other parents. This allows you to make new friends and connections! During the monthly meetings, you can talk to other parents at the school, which can help ease any concerns that you may have.

Teachers and parents both need a place where they can hear from one another. PTO meetings provide a space to voice your concerns amongst like minded people. You can also take time to thank the teachers for everything they do for our kids. Most importantly you can speak for the children, who may not always feel that they have an opportunity to speak for themselves.

Being involved in your child’s school proves that you care about their education. Knowing their parents are advocating for them at school can help build our children's confidence!

Volunteers

Plato Academy Pinellas Park requires 30 hours of volunteering per family which can be earned in a variety of ways including supporting our PTO!

By volunteering at events, helping out in the classroom or just helping make plans for our school’s future, parents can give back to our school in a huge way. This helps raise our children's teacher's/administrator's morale and leads to better educational experiences for students. Parental participation is encouraging no matter what grade level is being taught.

Volunteering provides many benefits to both mental and physical health. Volunteering helps counteract the effects of stress, anger, and anxiety. The social contact aspect of helping and working with others can have a profound effect on your overall psychological well-being

Each family (parent/guardian) is responsible for documenting volunteer hours.  Please log each even separately.
